Joining us are Sarah Cruddas from the UK, Space Journalist, TV Host and Award Winning Author with a background in Astrophysics, Noora Alsaed from the UAE, Mars Scientist and PhD student at CU Boulder in the United States, Ahlam Al Qasim from the UAE, PhD student in Astrophysics at Mullard Space Science and co-founder of Arab Women in STEM and UAE STEM in the UK, and Marwa Alalawi, an incoming post graduate student of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
It will feature two keynote speeches on How the Technology Revolution is Shaping Our Space Future by Sarah Cruddas and Investigating Space through Virtual Reality by Marwa Alalawi followed by a panel discussion and Q&A section.
Join us on March 31 from 6-8PM via Zoom and let’s share, learn and celebrate the great potentials for women to achieve academic and professional excellence in the space fields.

Bahrain joins the largest annual space event in the world – World Space Week slated for October 4-10, aiming at inspiring the workforce of tomorrow by drawing public awareness and support for space programs across the globe.
A line-up of activities are set for a full week of space fair. It includes virtual events targeting kids and youth such as DIY activities on Zoom, where kids will be asked to prepare materials for 2 space related STEM activities which they will do live with a STEM instructor. Live experiments will also be conducted via Zoom with fun and interactive segments for kids to enjoy. Also on the line-up are storytelling sessions in English and Arabic for young kids to enjoy space related stories with Q&A.
Dr. Shawna Pandya, Canadian Scientist-Astronaut Candidate with Project PoSSUM – a Citizen-Science Astronautics Program is also onboard and will be featured in a talk to share her experience and expertise.

The guest for the forth session is Astronaut and Hero of the Russian Federation Mr. Ryazanskiy Sergey in a special motivational talk entitled “Believe in Yourself”.
Astronaut Sergey served as a commander of a space craft and served for 306 days in space. He is also a committed motivational speaker who dedicates his time encouraging people to look up and reach for their own dreams and expand their vision of what is possible.
Inspired by the journey he took to prepare for his 2 space missions, he will share down-to-earth tips on overcoming challenges and dealing with personal and professional struggles.

It will host a Pilot and Aerospace Engineer Mishaal Ashemimry from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considered as the first Saudi woman to work in the field of nuclear missile design. The series offers insights and inspiration for the youth and the public.
