Send and Execute Your Own Code in Space

In collaboration with Orbital Space company, the 'Code in Space' Virtual Competition was launched in the Kingdom. Students may submit proposals, and the selected submissions will be uploaded to a nanosatellite orbiting the Earth. The code will be executed by the satellite’s onboard computer and will be tested under real space environment conditions. The code executions test results will be transmitted back to Earth via a satellite ground station.

Winners of ‘Create Your Own Space Game’ Local Competition

Run by the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), the competition, which is the first of its kind, was concluded. ‘Create your own Space Game’ competition specifically opened for application to Bahraini students between seven and twelve years of age. More than 40 male and female students participated and made contributions through innovative games and various skills, using modern programming styles and creating illustrative video tapes for each individual game.

MIT Scratch Programming Competition

The National Space Science Agency, in collaboration with Clever Play, organize an online virtual educational competition targeting Bahraini students aged 7-12 years, to raise awareness about the importance of space science, applications and technology, as this competition will be a great opportunity for students to demonstrate and develop their programming skills as well as contribute to the development and creative thinking, in addition to achieving educational and recreational pleasure from home.
